SWISS NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)’s mission is to promote scientific research in Switzerland. More specifically, “it promotes the international competitiveness and integration of this research as well as its capacity to solve problems”. It invests in promising researchers and their ideas with the objective to create knowledge that is valuable for society. The SNSF funds this 4-years research project as part of its “SNSF Professorship” funding scheme for outstanding researchers. After a competitive selection process, Prof. Gloria Gaggioli has been appointed SNSF Professor in 2018 and the project officially started in January 2019.
UNIVERSITY OF GENEVA
The University of Geneva, and more specifically the Law Faculty, Department of Public International Law and International Organization, is the host institution of the research project. All researchers are integrated in the law faculty even though the research project is an interdisciplinary one. The University of Geneva provides the necessary infrastructure and intellectual support for the furtherance of the project. Prof. Gloria Gaggioli teaches international law at the Law Faculty.
